AI Is Coming for Some IT Jobs – Datamation

“AI is most successful in addressing problems that are reasonably well-defined and narrow in scope, whereas humans excel at defining problems that need to be solved and at solving complex problems” : that’s the same thing often said for off-shoring projects.

Robots will take your job. Yes you with the university degree. For real. It’s going to happen | Financial Post

Forgot to mention accountants, actuaries, shop clerks and cashiers…etc. etc… in an increasingly cashless society. The jobs won’t be entirely eliminated there’ll just be far fewer of them.

Unfortunately, for the young and those without high level aptitudes and personal connections the job market will be very bleak indeed. Income/wealth disparity will be enormous.

Google’s new #AI has learned to become “highly aggressive” in stressful situations

More complex and intelligent AI’s, when competing against each other in a zero-sum game ultimately become aggressive and violent in pursuit of the game’s objective.  This behavior increases with increased intelligence.

One potential conclusion:

What the tests reveal, is that the behavior of AI’s amongst & against both humans and other AI’s will be determined by how they are taught to perceive and interpret the actions of others and the context of that action.  If the AI’s perceive others as collaborators in a fundamentally cooperative exercise, they will be more likely to exhibit positive, supportive behaviors.  If the AI’s perceive others as competitors in a zero-sum game, they may tend towards aggression.
